I’ve really enjoyed hosting the anonymous Sinful Sunday photos over the last six months. Since launching the concept back in June, 13 sexy, challenging and beautiful images – from seven different women – have featured on this site (though one was later removed at the request of the person who submitted it). There’s been a mix of regular contributors and people who treated it as a thrilling one-off: an opportunity to do something they’d never done before and can’t imagine ever doing it again.
It didn’t entirely surprise me that all of the early submissions came from women. By and large, men have a much easier time of it on the internet, and it’s certainly a safer space for any guy wanting to show off his body. Few of us will be slut-shamed for posting photos of our dicks; nor does sharing explicit images tend to expose us to an unwanted slew of sexual advances, made on the assumption that because we get naked online, we ‘must be up for it’.
Still, I was starting to wonder whether I’d ever have a photo from a man to put up here – and then December happened. It might have taken six months, but on this final Sinful Sunday of 2014, it gives me great pleasure to present…

There will be more Sinful Sunday from me in 2015, and hopefully more Anonymous posts as well!

Oh, this is a fabulous photo! Hooray for men!
The angle of the shot is superb. Not just because of the lovely man in the image, but also the composition. The way one side is dominated by greenery with the sky open in the other side. The long shot of stairs and the way he is in the act of climbing is very interesting as well (not to mention those killer calves).
I love that you provide a place for anonymous Sinful Sunday entries and I adore this particular entry.
Simply love this image – it draws the eye, and the subject is utterly lovely to linger upon 🙂

That’s a great photo! Makes me want to draw him. I love the movement and the angles and the muscles working, and the bareness against the green.
Yay, bring on the men! I love how he’s still wearing shoes, but walking away, and there’s a bit of a loss at that one. The setting is gorgeous around him.
oh very nice
a beautiful setting and a lovely man
i like that women tend to express themselves more easily, maybe not in body but we have been getting more open about this
but i find few men blogging about sex and kink
i like when they do
i love when people are playful and sensual about their images
i really enjoy when a man opens up and shares .. sometimes showing more than just their flesh 😉
What a fabulous image… I love the angle of this shot, it really shows off his lovely muscle tone and strong male shape… I am saddened by the sentiment though as I am fairly sure i know what it means.

Ah, I’m coming out of the corner for this one and commenting for the first time! I love this picture, for the cracking composition that draws the eye and because I love the idea that someone might round the corner at any minute and get a cheeky surprise!
But I wanted to comment for another reason. I agree with Exhibit A that the Internet can be a safer place for men, but I was having a conversation last night with a male friend that I think is relevant here. I have contributed 4 or 5 images to the anonymous page so far and I was telling him how much I’ve got out of it and how I think much differently about myself now than I did 6 months ago. For me there’s been a thrill in knowing the images are there but far more significant and uplifting has been the comments I have received. All of my images have had a theme of body consciousness, as have some of the amazing images other women have contributed and I think many of us have used Exhibit A’s generosity to explore our feelings about our bodies. My friend and I ended up talking about how it’s a lot easier and ‘acceptable’ for women to express our insecurities about our bodies and to seek reassurance from others. Analysis of male attitudes towards and feelings about their own bodies is much less available than for women. You could say that’s for the best given the negative impact some of the common narrative has on women, however what isn’t right is the idea that male insecurity is somehow not as valid, or should be hidden away under a veneer of bravado. I wonder whether men who feel a little insecure would be as confident about opening up and seeking the reassurance the Sinful Sunday community offers? Perhaps that’s got something with there being fewer men participating in the anonymous page.
To the man who posted this, apart from the title there are no words so we don’t know the story behind this picture. It might be as simple as you wanting to get your arse out online and if that’s the case, hurrah, because it’s a good arse on top of a great pair of legs! But if you slightly held your breath as you hit send and are feeling a tiny bit vulnerable at the moment then I applaud you, I hope you get as much out of taking part as I have and maybe we’ll share space on a future Anonymous post! Xx
I agree, I think for every man out there who doesn’t feel remotely pressured about what he looks like, and wanders round in shorts and little else in the summer, there’s one who’s been worried about it since he was a teenager and is terrified at the thought of people seeing his torso. And sees a totally different picture in the mirror than the one he presents.
I thought the image of Dave from the Full Monty, wrapping himself in cling film in the shed while sadly eating a Mars Bar is one of the most pathos filled things… felt very real. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/CWZBdTCsRCY/hqdefault.jpg
Good to see a fellow strutting his stuff 🙂
I’m glad people have been able to gain confidence through participation. I know I have!!
